2022 Program

Welcome to the 8th Annual TaDa! Performing Arts festival!

We welcome patrons onto the ancient territory of the Algonquin people, who for over 200 years have received all of us as their guests. Together, we recognize that we gather on land that is unceded Algonquin territory. We acknowledge this with respectful thanks, advocacy and action towards reparation and reconciliation.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you back to Theatre Wakefield’s TaDa! Performing Arts Festival! Our 2022 Festival features six shows: two stories about women by women, an Indigenous man’s spiritual journey, a drag queen cabaret, a children’s musician, and Seniors Create — a showcase of work where all the participants are over 60! We’re hosting at least one workshop and of course there will be a party to celebrate and support our community of artists after so much hardship. In their honour, this year’s event features performers almost exclusively from our region.

A whole roster of volunteers and staff work tirelessly each year to put on the festival, offering activities for the whole family and this year is no exception. No wonder we say that TaDa! is a breath of fresh air on the festival circuit!
