Be prepared to be amused, surprised, and captivated!
Kim is an accomplished storyteller who has entertained audiences throughout Canada. She is known for her autobiographical stories about living as a capable person who is blind. What happens when young Kim tries to hatch a dragon from chocolate eggs? When Kim and her brother find a device that is supposed to allow them to walk on water? When she drives the family motorboat? Learns braille? Trains with a guide dog?
Although this is a story about a person with a disability (being blind), this is also a story of Kim’s amazing ability to navigate the world with a sense of trust, freedom, and delight. Audience members will leave with a deeper understanding of the challenges, skills and adventures of a person who is blind.
Kim has over twenty years’ experience as a storyteller. She has performed regularly on the NAC Fourth Stage, at the Ottawa Arts Court, and at storytelling festivals in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Victoria, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Saint Mary’s. Kim is a MASC artist in schools and for seniors. She continues to love to perform in venues of all types and sizes for audiences of all ages and abilities.
