Our Funders/Sponsors

The investment of our public sector funders – municipal, provincial and federal – as well as the generous private sector sponsorship is critical to Theatre Wakefield’s community mission, the wide ranging programming we do and the diverse community we engage onstage and off.

The Municipality of LaPêche contributes generously to both our operations and our programming under its Recreation, Culture and Community Living mandate (RCCL).

The MRC des Collines, through its agreements with various provincial ministries including the Ministry of Culture and Communications (MCC) and the Minister des Affaires Municipales et de l’Occupation du territoire (MAMOT), provides targeted program funding.

Patrimoine Canadian Heritage (PCH) provides significant funding for community development through its Official Languages Support program, infrastructure support though its Community Spaces program, COVID recovery funding through the Canada Performing Arts Workers Resilience Fund, festival support through Building Community through Arts and Heritage (BCAH), and summer internships in the arts through Young Canada Works.

The English Language Arts Network (ELAN) has been particularly helpful in providing COVID recovery funding targeted at audience rebuilding.
