Singer/songwriter Jeremy Fisher returns to Wakefield to play a selection of songs from his 20-plus year career, including a good dose of family singalong songs from his hit CBC kids TV show Jeremy and Jazzy. Jeremy was a super popular performer at the Black Sheep Inn between 2002 and 2019 where his high-energy, sold-out shows were legendary. Come hear his new one-man show for all ages!
JEREMY FISHER – BIO
Jeremy Fisher is a four-time JUNO-nominated folk-pop singer-songwriter based in Ottawa. He has released six studio albums and his music has been featured on radio, in film (The Big Year, Our Idiot Brother), and as main title TV themes (Disney, Global). Over the last 20 years Jeremy has toured the world and shared the stage with artists such as Alanis Morissette, Blue Rodeo and Indigo Girls.
Jeremy has also released music for children, inspired in part by making music for and with his own kids. His first children’s album, Highway to Spell, was released on March 9, 2018 and went on to be nominated for Children’s Album of the Year at the 14th Canadian Folk Music Awards. Jeremy is also a co-creator, songwriter and voice actor for the CBC animated series Jeremy and Jazzy, a show about how feelings become songs, songs become stories, and music, friendship, and collaboration create joy.
Say Hello, an album of songs from the series, was a Juno Award nominee for Children’s Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2023.
