About the show

The TaDa! Festival opens on September 15 with Mayfly, the jewel of our last Festival! Co-produced with Theatre Wakefield, Mayfly stars local artist Rae-Anna Maitland in a funny, bittersweet reflection on motherhood told through the metaphor of the life cycle of the common mayfly. Through physical exploration, as much as character development, Rae-Anna builds a world where memory, the self and the natural world intersect. Mayfly is written by Rae-Anna Maitland and directed by Mary Ellen MacLean.
